Airfield Farm Events
To facilitate the conservation works as quickly and as safely as possible, Airfield will be closed for the construction period. Construction is expected to take approximately eighteen months and Airfield plans to reopen for Spring 2013.
Airfield Farm Dublin run seasonal fun days events and workshops for children and families. There will be lots to do this summer come rain or shine. This will be Airfield Farm most exciting Summer programme yet with something for everyone. So make sure you have your suncream, wellies and raincoat on standby, the team at Airfield are looking forward to seeing you on the farm!
There will be daily family activities for everyone this Summer and watch the blackboard at the entrance for details of each day’s event.

Sustainable Saturdays
On the last Saturday of every month Airfield will celebrate an aspect of sustainable living with dedicated talks and workshops. Each month a different activity will be platformed from beekeeping to poultry farming, soap making and more.

- 12.00 - 14.00 Explore sound works situated around the Airfield estate. These temporary works will remain on site until the end of August.
- 14.00 - 16.00 Performance by Lunfardia - Enjoy a voyage to the New World withIrish/South American folk American folk ensemble Lunfardia -named from the street lingo of 19th Century Buenos Aires.Thefive piecepresent simmering Tangos and Milongas from Buenos Aires, rough-hewn Chacareras from the Argentinean pampas and grooving Joropos from Venezuela. Performance supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office.

- 12.30 - 13.30 Drum Circle
Join in our drum circle of up to 50 people and create a unique in-the-moment rhythm. Drumming expert Neil Dowling will facilitate but ultimately the music will be made by you! - 14.00 - 16.00 Performance by The North Strand Kontra Band
Since exploding onto the scene in the past few years, theNorth Strand Kontra Band have enjoyed a huge wave of success. Specialising in the music of the Balkans, their combination of wild melodies and explosive energy always makes for an unforgettable show

The Airfield Fête
Airfield Farm in Dundrum are having an old fashioned fête with all the trimmings. It’s a day packed brimful of activities with nature trails, outdoor games, welly throwing, a book exchange stall, a knit and stitch circle, cake stall, scones and tea on the lawn, buskers and lots more on this fun-filled August garden party. Picnics and blankets welcomed.

Airfields Big Picnic
You are invited to join the freindly team at Airfield Farm for a long lazy Summer’s afternoon in a giant party where we all come together to share a communal picnic. They have lots of fun activities on offer with outdoor games, nature trails, art-making, brass band and more or you could simply settle back, kick off your shoes and feel the grass tickling your feet and the sun on your skin as you listen to the brass band.
There’s lemonade, icecream, cakes and other goodies to buy on site. Bring your own picnic basket and a blanket.
And don't forget your Teddy bears
