Buttercup Farm in Limerick is an old traditional farm with old style farming tradition, providing a great fun day out for all the family in the beautiful green backdrop of the Irish contryside, in the heart of the Golden vale near Croom. The Buttercup farm is a family business since 1988 and they welcome you to enjoy and savour this natural domestic environment by wandering the tree-trails and natural paddocks. Trigger memories of nostalgic times long gone with the old reapers and binders, trailers and old time ploughs.
Take time out in the charming tea room with some delicious homemade farmhouse refreshments. You can also relax in the sun at the picnic tables area while the children play freely in the playing area. They also have a large selection of farm animals cattle, sheep, grunting pigs, proud peacocks and there is an area where you can feed and pet the lambs and rabbit. They also do horse & cart riding for the children.
School tours and Birthday parties are also catered for.

Join the Easter Bunny and all the animals down on the farm Easter Saturday and Sunday for the Easter Egg Hunt
- Christmas On The Farm
Mrs Clause will be making elf certificates with the children and giving the children some magic jelly beans, also Mrs Clause is busy preparing some of her magic fruit punch and christmas biscuits as a little treat for mammy and daddy. As you wander through the village to meet Santa, there are lots of different scenes along the way to see, animals are incorporated among the scenes, they have face painting, elves beauty parlor, elves disco, indoor play area if the weather is bad, sleigh rides are also available weather permitting, over 15,000 lights add to the Christmas spirit.
Buttercup Farm run Summer Camps that are educational and plain honest good fun for kids from ages 5 years – 12 years. The activities that the kids will take part include all types of fun Games – rounders, football, wheel barrow races, tog-of-war, wellie throwing. Buttercup Farm Cookery School
They also run a cookery school for children aged 6 – 12 years on Saturday’s from 10.00 – 15.00. Highlights include feeding, cleaning and maintining animals. Growing and maintain organic vegetables. You will be able to plant and name your own tree.
Pick seasonal fruit and vegetables which you will use in various cookery sessions. There will be lunch is provided. The kids will also take part in Arts and Crafts and have play time.
There are only 20 places available per day so book early. Course are available through out the year with the exception the the month of December. One day or 4 week sessions are available
