The Cliffs of Moher Heritage Week

Every year at The Cliffs of Moher participates in National Heritage Week which is coordinated by The Heritage Council and its aim is to build awareness and education about our national heritage thereby encouraging its conservation and preservation. Every year there is a different theme for the National Heritage Week

This year the theme of National Heritage Week is ‘Ireland’s Industrial and Design Heritage’. The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience will showcase through a series of themed scheduled events and a photography exhibition, the great local tradition of Liscannor Stone quarrying and Dry Stone Masonry

Free Guided Ranger Tours, Daily at 4pm August 27th- August 30th 

Priced normally at €45, these Heritage Week Guided Ranger Tours are a unique and fascinating way to get an account of stone quarrying and its association with the Cliffs of Moher. The tour will finish with the Cliffs of Moher Ranger demonstrating examples of stone masonry skills such as stone splitting.

Places are limited to just 15 people per tour, so please book 24 hours in advance to avoid disappointment.

Fun For All The Family

The Cliffs of Moher colourful characters ‘Podge the Puffin’, ‘Grainne the Goat’ and local Historian Cornelius O’Brien will be circulating the site for your enjoyment and education.
