Dan O’Hara’s Heritage and History Centre Connemara

This award winning heritage centre is situated on the N59 approximately 5 miles from Clifden-the capital of Connemara. It offers a unique insight into the history and heritage of this most beautiful part of the West of Ireland.

Start with an audio-visual presentation in various languages, view the History Room exhibits, visit the Crannog (showing how the Celts used to live), Ringfort, Oratory, thatched cottage with open peat fire, animals including famous Connemara ponies, archaeological site, or plant a tree in memory of your ancestors.
