Dublin Book Festival

Dublin Book Festival is once again hoisting the flag for children’s books this November, offering a programme of Irish authors and illustrators, designed to spark the imagination of young readers. This year’s Children’s programme offers a series of free events happening across Dublin city, including readings and workshops from authors such as Chris Judge, Oisin McGann, Siobhán Parkinson, John Joyce, and Liam Prút. With everything from readings by popular authors, to creative writing and illustration workshops, treasure hunts, bilingual storytelling and competitions – there will be limitless opportunities to explore a wide array of books! All school and children’s events are free of charge.

Alongside an array of programmed events, Dublin Book Festival will host a Free Children’s Zone in the Banquet Hall of Smock Alley Theatre, welcoming children in to the area across the whole weekend for pop-up story, illustration and musical sessions, family treasure hunt, children’s fancy dress tea party, as well as a selection of other literary attractions.
