The Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show will take place from August 4-5 over the entire RDS complex in the heart of Dublin. This year the Dublin Horse Show will be celebrating 137 years. One of the top international equestrian events in the world, the Show is a wonderful day out for horse entusiasts and families a like offering something for everyone.

Take a seat in the Main Arena and watch the best international showjumpers compete. Highlights of the Show include, the drama of the Land Rover Puissance featuring the famous ‘Wall’, the Longines International Grand Prix, the Aga Khan Challenge Trophy, the Longines Press Award for Elegance and over 100 national showing and show jumping classes.

Shop ‘til you drop in the exhibition halls with over 300 trade stands offering everything from aromatherapy to yo-yo’s.  Sit back and enjoy the company of friends and family in one of the numerous food outlets and restaurants around the RDS.

Visit the Exhibition of work from Ireland’s leading craft designers and award - winning up-and-coming student artists. Cheer on the teams in the high speed Hunt Chase. Or simply rest your elbows on the rails of the Showing Rings and soak up the atmosphere.

Kid's Entertainment At The Dublin Horse Show

Kids love animals and it’s not just horses at the Horse Show. Airfield Trust, Dublin’s only urban farm, brings along other furry animals to the pets' corner in the Nature Zone. There is even a creepy crawlies display for the bravest of kids!

Keep the kid’s entertained with the following activities in the Kid’s Zone:

  • Puppets and street performers

Dublin Horse Show Opening Times

The Public can enter the Show grounds via the RDS Concert Hall entrance from 8.00 each day of the Show. The Main Hall entrance will be open from 9.00 everyday.

Equestrian Exhibitors and the Public can enter the Show grounds via the Belvedere Gate from 7.00 each day.

The Show closes at 19.00 on the Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 20.00 on the Friday and Saturday of the Show.

Dublin Horse Show Parking

As large crowds attend the Show and car parking is limited in the area they encourage the use of public transport to get to the Showgrounds.
Official Horse Show Car Park Muckross(Park & Ride)
There will be shuttle bus service every 10 minutes to and from Muckross Car Park. The first bus will leave Muckross at 7.00 each morning during the Show. The last bus returning to Muckross is at 19.00. The car park will be locked up at 22.00 each night during the show.
Please note that parking at Wanderers is NOT available this year.

 
For directions to Muckross:
Driving along the Merrion Road towards town, drive past the RDS. Take the immediate left after Roly's Bistro and turn down Herbert park Road. Continue straight on until you reach the crossroads at Donnybrook. Straight on at the crossroads brings you onto Marlborough Road. Muckross Car Park is on the left hand side of Marlborough

Other car parks are also available during the Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show in the Ballsbridge area.
 

Disc parking is in operation in many of the streets surrounding the RDS.

The RDS is serviced by a number of bus routes.

Merrion Road Entrance (Main Entrance)
7 / 7A (O’Connell Street to Loughlinstown Park/Mcintosh Park). No 7A service on weekends.
18 (Sandymount Green to Palmerstown), 45 (City Centre/Corn Exchange Place to Strand Rd Bray/Old Court)

Anglesea Road
4 / 4a (Harristown to Blackrock)
5 (O'Connell Street to Sandyford Industrial Estate)
7 (O'Connell Street to Cherrywood)
8 (Parrnell Square to Dalkey)
46 (Fleet St to Shankill Rd). No service on weekends.
46A (Parnell Sq West to Dun Laoghaire)

84 (City Centre/Corn Exchange Place to Newcastle – Co. Wicklow)
