Easter At Glendeer Pet Farm
This Easter why not take the family to Glendeer Pet Farm in Athlone to join in all the Easter weekend activities. The Easter Bunney will be there to get the annual Easter Egg Hunt started.
The Egg Hunts provide great eggcitment and entertainment for young and old. There is a separate egg hunt for children under four to ensure everyone gets to collect chocolate eggs. After all the eggs are found the children can interact with all the animals, feeding, petting and even holding them.
Children can also enjoy the large outdoor playground, however they also have indoor play facilities so there's plenty to do in any weather conditions. The adults can enjoy tea or coffee in the coofee shop which also provides a selaection of homemade baked goods.
Glendeer Pet Farm (5 miles west of Athlone, take exit 13 off M6, & follow the signs for Drum) is a very interactive experience as people can feed, pet and even hold some of the animals. There is a variety of domestic and exotic animals, including monkeys, wallabies and tortoises, not to mention the babies that are arriving everyday: kid goats, baby llama, rabbits, lambs and a jersey calf.
So its a day out to be enjoyed by all the family, one not to be missed!
