Fort Lucan is an adventure playground in County Dublin, where they aim to provide a fun day out for all the family. There is an extensive range of activities for the younger members, as well as a cafe and shop for those not so keen on the physical side of the adventure centre. Kids create their own adventures as they discover secret slides, climb 40 foot towers and high walkways before zipping across the aerial runways. Escape your friends in the maze or challenge them on the army-style assault courses. You can also let your kids show off their driving skills on Fort Lucan two Go-Kart tracks. Fort lucan has two massive waterslides with awesome bends, twists and drops.

For the under 5’s they can climb and dig in the mini-Fort Lucan, complete with aerial runways, baby Go-Karts, sand pit and much more

All children must be supervised by a responsible adult. Fort Lucan adventure playground Dublin is only suitable for children aged 2-14 years and the only ride suitable for older children and adults is the River Raft Ride.

Why not have your Birthday party in Fort Lucan. They will provide you with a free party room but you must book it well in advance.

Family Fun Tip :-  Fort Lucan is not suitable for groups of children over the age of 14.

Facilities At Fort Lucan

Fort Lucan counts a crazy golf course, go kart track, water slides, a maze, trampolines, high tower walks, aerial runway, pendulum swings, suspension bridges, assault course, and a toddler area in addition to the new Raging River Raft Ride, has two massive waterslides with awesome bends and twists.

The crazy golf course has a Norman theme and has always been a favourite among the young members of the family. The water slide is guaranteed fun as you drop 40ft into the water. There are two separate go karting tracks for different age groups, one for those under the age of six and one for the older children.

Children should wear suitable clothing for an adventure centre such as long sleeves, trousers and runners. It is also a very good idea to bring a change of clothes.

There is a small restaurant in Fort Lucan. Selling chips, sausages, chicken nuggets, sandwiches and a selection of cookies and cakes. They also have a sweet shop.

Fort Lucan Admission Rates

  • Adults: €4.00 (includes complimentary tea or coffee),
  • Under 2s: Free
  • Child: €10.50 (includes one free go in the Waterfall)

Group Rates

  • 6-10 children: One child goes free
  • 11-20 children: Two children go free
  • 20 or more children: €9.50 per child (Groups of more than 20 children must be booked in advance) – includes one free go on the Waterfall

Please note that no group rates or discounts apply on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

The River Raft Ride is €3.00 per raft(capacity 2 persons per raft). Entrance fee does not include this extra.

Directions To Fort Lucan Adventure Playground

If you are travelling from South Dublin, take the N4 to Lucan, then cross the Liffey at Lucan Village. Immediately after the bridge, turn right onto the Strawberry Beds road. Take the next turn left (very sharp bend, up a hill) Watch out for signs.

And if you are travelling from North Dublin, take the N3 to Blanchardstown. Go past Blanchardstown Shopping Centre to Clonsilla Village, and then take the road from Clonsilla to Lucan. Fort Lucan is on your right 1 mile from Clonsilla. Watch out for signs.
