Junior Chef Cookery School
Junior Chef Cookery School in Blackrock, Dublin wants to help you child discover the fun and delicious world of cooking in a safe, educational and tasty way. They run after school classes throughout the school term, host birthday parties on request and offer camps during school holidays such as at midterm, easter and summer.
Students are encouraged to eat and enjoy the food they have prepared which fills them and their parents with satisfaction for their hard work and also gets them to try new healthy foods that they may not have tried before. A nutrionist is on board to help devise healthy eating plans, recipies and menus for the classes.
Camps And Course At Junior Chef
The Summer Camp courses last four or five days and students learn how to cook a varitey of healthy foods. Students cook a main meal and dessert every day and sit together to enjoy their meals at the end of the day. They run from 9.30 - 14.00 and are suitable for children aged 5 to 13 years. These camps run throught June, July and August.
Midterm Camps cost €180 for five days where students aged 3 to 12 years learn to prepare a main meal and dessert everyday. This runs during the February midterm break from 9.30 - 14.00.
The Easter Camps are run for two weeks, the two weeks of the school holidays. Each camp is four days in duration and costs €160 per week. Again it is suitable for 3-12 year olds and runs from 9.30 - 14.00.
The after school courses run every day during the school term from 15.30 - 17.00. There are two groups, infants to first class and second to sixth class students.
Teenage Camps are run in the afternoons over Easter and Summer breaks for students aged 13 to 16 years from 3pm to 6pm. It costs for €185 five days.

Little Chef Classes
Cookery Classes for Junior, Senior Infants and 1st Class. Ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner – children cook a variety of dishes – encouraging them to try new foods, and to make some delicious meals and snacks.

Junior Chef Classes
Teaching children a skill for life, the basic cooking skills required for them to make meals encourage healthy eating and have lots of fun.

Young Chefs Teenage Classes
The cheapest and healthiest way to eat is to cook it yourself. This course encourages teenagers to enjoy food, learn to cook, manage the kitchen and share this talent with their family and peers and learn a skill for life.

Transition Year
Junior chef has run courses successfully for transition year students. It is a weekly cooking and kitchen management course that teaches young people to manage independently. To share great ideas with their friends, learn skills that will develop confidence in the kitchen, cook delicious meals for themselves, both main courses and deserts,and change their eating habits to a healthier lifestyle.
This course is highly recommended by teachers and the young people who have benefitted from the course. Prices on request.
Cookery Birthday Parties At Junior Chef
Cookery Birthday Parties are run throughout the year and they offer two choices of parties - the tradional cookery party which lasts two and a half hours or a cupcake party which last one and a half hours. The prices includes ingredients, take home bags and a birthday cake.
The cost is €23 per child Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and €26 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
There must be at least 10 people and a maximum of 25 people for the birthday parites.
Facilites at Junior Chef
There are two fully equiped kitchens at Junior Chef Cookery School. There is one kitchen used for demonstration purposes and one larger kitchen for the children/teens to cook in. Each unit in the kitchen is equipped with an oven, sink, worktop and all necessary utensils. Children between the ages of five and nine work in groups and those over the age of nine work in pairs.
All students are carefully supervised with two adults per twelve students.
School Holiday Cooking Camps
The cooking camps run through every school holiday. The children cook a main course and a dessert each day, and then sit down together to eat all the delicious food they have made. Prices include all ingredients and fruit break. All new recipes for 2011.
