Kildare Village’s Simple Pleasures

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of February, the final weekend of the Simple Pleasures Campaign focuses on family at Kildare Village Outlet Shopping

Kildare Village recognises that pleasing your nearest and dearest is the best simple pleasure of all.  With this in mind all this weekend kids can enjoy a range of fun activities at the village including face painting by professional artists and creative balloon modelling and arts and crafts.

GROWing Gardens, a Kildare based Environmental Education Company, will be on site with some special arts and crafts activities.  Kids are encouraged to bring along dad’s old wellie boot, an unused pot or a strangely shaped item to plant a sunflower seed in. Instructors will help participants paint and decorate their funky pots before taking them home to watch them grow

Families can also take a trip to the fun play area.  After working up an appetite you can enjoy a family meal at L’Officina or treat yourself to a creamy hot chocolate from Starbucks or Chocolateria .

While at Kildare Village why not spend some time with the kids in the new John Minihan photography exhibition Writing the Century. Photographs of Irish Writers, which features 42 iconic images of Irish writers such as Samuel Beckett, Seamus Heaney, Edna O’Brien and Brian Friel.
