Join award-winning children’s illustrator and writer Mark Wickham for a workshop on designing your own Celtic Superhero from the Iron Age. Explore the Museum and its Iron Age objects and learn about ancient Irish Celtic stories to help inspire you to create your character.

Join the National Craft Gallery on May 20th and experience lots of FREE creative family fun and artistry this National Drawing Day.

Ciara Harrison will teach you how to be creative with textiles. Contibute to the Fabric Flower Garden which will be added to and “grown” throughout the day!

Try your hand at something different and learn a new skill by experiencing drawing on metal through the art of Repoussé to make coasters with Marie-Therese Walker

Go on a weaving journey with Carrie Lynam and build a wonderful woven Textile Maze.

Learn the skill of lino printing and create colourful textile prints to take home from the textile print workshops with Caroline Ryan of Printblock.

Big Draw:- National Drawing Day | Saturday 20 May 2017, 12pm – 2pm | Free Event

National Drawing day is your chance to get involved and stretch those creative muscles. RUA RED will have different drawing stations set up from the traditional to the digital. Try out the various drawing materials and techniques on offer and master your own drawing skills. Digital drawing support will be on hand from the students of IT Tallaght. These are not structured workshops and are more of a drop in space to explore different drawing activities. All ages welcome, no booking required, space is on a first come first serve basis.
