The award winning Secret Valley Wildlife Park in Wexford,  is less than 1.5hrs from Dublin and convenient from Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Wexford and they are also the Southeast’s only fully licensed zoo and wildlife park in the South East of Ireland! The paddock outside is full of animals, donkeys, llamas, alpaca, sheep and goats. In the purpose-built animal shed, you can meet the bunnies, guinea pigs, lizards, raccoons, prairie dogs etc.

Daily Activities at Secret Valley

At Secret Valley they want to give their visitors an unforgettable experience, joining in with the animal interactions sessions allows visitors to get up close to animals which they might never had the chance to before. For the younger visitors this can open up a whole new world and teach them all about caring for the animals.

Secret Valley want their visitors to enjoy the whole park. Areas of the park have been allowed to go wild to provide a natural environment for the many native species that are living there. To explore all areas of the park visitors can participate in the Adventure hunts with a large outdoor play area, obstacle course, wild golf and an indoor play area with an art table which are all included in the admission fee.

Keepers Talks

The zoo keeper will be on hand to give talks on habitat, behaviour and conservation issues affecting species worldwide. You will learn about our family groups, their personalities and how the zoo can help them in the future.

School Tours at Secret Valley

At Secret Valley Wildlife Park the background environment is one of learning while the children experience new surroundings, different animals and are free to roam and enjoy the beautiful Wildlife Park.

Kids will always get excited about a field trip, and Secret Valley Wildlife Park offers an environment that is fun, unique, and educational. The students will have the ability to interact with wildlife many of them likely haven’t ever seen in person before.

For schools and kid groups, They offer the following:

School Tours

You can choose from different nature-based activities which complement subjects on the school curriculum. These include bottle-feeding the kid goats, Scavenger Hunts and Orienteering. They also provide Art and Crafts, Playtime with a difference which includes Interactive Story Time (the children are involved) and really cool games, or you can just play in the new Indoor Play Area or around the Large Outdoor Play Area. Your day will be fully supervised by the  Wildlife Park enthusiastic staff.

Field Trips

The field trips will be running from September to April. These will involve 1 -2 nature/animal based activities throughout the day. Secret Valley have plenty of space for picnics or they can cater for your groups large or small in the coffee shop with a variety of food on the menu.

Nature To The Classroom

The newly established programme featuring the Parks small animals and offers the opportunity for the children in your classes to interact with any of the insects and wildlife from the Park small enough, and able, to be transported – all within the classroom! This is a wonderful way to bring some exciting nature and science into your classroom. A few of the small animals include snails, lizards, and in some cases even the lemurs.

Christmas At Secret Valley Wildlife Park

Meet Santa as he arrives in his indoor wonderland and receive a gift. Santa will know you Child’s name and what they want for Christmas.  Join in with the arts and crafts, competitions, roast some marshmallows and lots more along with the usual timetable. Whatever the weather this magical experience will run every weekend for the month of December.
