Supernova in Cork is an Activity Centre that is great for party venues as not only does it have an indoor play area called McCools but also has indoor ice (synthetic) skating all year round and seven outdoor soccer pitches for you and your family and friends to enjoy.
McCools Activity Centre
McCools is the indoor activity centre at Supernova Cork. You can have bundles of fun with the many slides, ball pools and castles. Within one of the castles there is a separate play area for toddlers so they can enjoy their own fun in a safe environment.
There are age and height restrictions. Children must be under twelve years of age and cannot be above 4foot 9inches.
There is a comfortable seating area and a restaurant which serves freshly made food and drinks.
McCools has a specially designated party area for your birthday parties which includes a throne for the birthday boy or girl.
Supernova Soccer
Supernova has seven outdoor floodlit Astroturf pitches. You can book a pitch by the hour and is suitable for all weather conditions. The pitches are very popular so may need to be booked in advance. Showers and changing facilities are available.
The pitches are fully enclosed and have roof nets so you have no fear of losing the ball or stopping the action. There is an organised seven a side soccer tournament which you can join or just go along to practice your skills with a group of your friends. The pitch is suitable for other outdoor sports so if you have something in mind pop down to Supernova and enquire about booking the pitches.
Supernova Ice Skating
If you like ice skating then Supernova Cork is the place for you as it has an all year ice skating rink for you to enjoy. The synthetic ice rink is suitable for all ages, anytime of the year. There are public family skating sessions, ice skating lessons, skating discos for those aged between twelve and sixteen years, ice hockey training and there is even a mini ice rink for you to use in order to boost your confidence before hitting the ice.
There is a comfortable seating area where you can enjoy tea and coffee or some fresh juice from the juice bar.
Skates last approximately one hour.
Birthday Parties At Supernova
There are six different party packages available at Supernova Cork. All party packages include a half hour of party food, which includes pizza, chicken tenders or sausages and birthday cake at the end. There is a minimum of ten children per party booking and Supernova does not supply the cake so please bring one with you. Included in the cost of the party are goody bags for every child, a party host for the day, party invitations and drinks throughout the party.
The first party package, McCools Regular, is one and a half hours play at McCools Activity Centre and costs €12.95 Monday - Thursday or €15.95 Friday - Sunday.
McCools Activity Party combines one hour of play in the castle with half an hour or either dancing or soccer. This costs €13.95 Monday - Thursday or €16.95 Friday - Sunday.
McCools And Skating Party allows you to enjoy forty five minutes play in the castle on top of another forty five minutes ice skating. This Package costs €13.95 Monday - Thursday or €16.95 Friday - Sunday.
The Supernova Soccer Party offers an hour of supervised soccer matches on the outdoor pitches. For this party children should bring a spare change of clothes and it costs €12.95 Monday - Wednesday or €15.95 Thursday - Sunday.
Supernova Skating Party is for those who just want to skate away for the party. It allows you to enjoy an hour skating session for just €13.95 Monday - Wednesday or €16.95 Thursday - Sunday.
The Supernova Skating And Soccer Party combines forty five minutes skating with forty five minutes supervised soccer and again requires children to bring a spare change of clothes. This party package costs €15.95 Monday - Wednesday or €18.95 Thursday - Sunday.
If you wish to individualise your party package there are a number of extras available. You can incorporate nail party or face painting for an additional €1 per child or you can choose glitter tattoos for an additional €2 per child.

Discounts At Supernova
- Summer Savings: Any party booked between May and end of August entitles the birthday boy or girl to go free.
- Under 16s Soccer Savings: If all players are under sixteen years of age you can avail of the special rate of just €30 for an hour pitch rental if booked before 6pm during the weekdays.
- Weekend Soccer: If you book a pitch between 10.00 - 22.00 on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays you can hire it for €50 an hour.
- Five Week Soccer Booking: If you book five weeks soccer at regular intervals you can have the pitches for €350. If you pay for the five weeks upfront you can hire the pitch for only €300.
- Group Skate Discounts: If you come in a group of ten or more for ice skating you can avail of a 5% discount. If you come with 20 or more people then you can avail of 10% discount. You will need to contact Supernova in advance for such large groups however.
- Regulars: There are reduced rates for members and regular customers to Supernova Skating.
