Enjoy a fantastic skating experience this Christmas with Dún Laoghaire Christmas Festival On Ice one of Dublin’s largest ice rinks and Dun Laoghaire first ever Ice Rink with real ice, is now open at the dlr LexIcon Garden at Moran Park. Why not enjoy a great evening out with friends or family by adding this festive activity to your day. There will be lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy on and around the ice rink.
The adults will have a huge skating surface to skate around and have fun. There will also be discos on ice and lots more!!
There is amazing event in store, kids can arrive at the Ice Rink on Santa’s train from the harbour where they can skate with the penguins on a dedicated kiddies rink to ensure an enjoyable family experience.
Skate with the penguins have your photo taken with the polar bears enjoy hot chocolate mulled wine and much much more at the rink side cafe.

Ice Skating is a fun and enjoyable activity around Christmas time and is a lot of fun for the entire family but it does present some risks, especially for inexperienced skaters.
Dun Laoghaire On Ice, Ice Marshals are present on the rink at all times during all sessions and you are required to adhere to the our safe-skating guidelines.
Family Fun Tip :- Don’t forget to wear thick socks and a pair of gloves! and please ensure that your boots are tight with the laces securly fastened .. Avoid going for a bigger size than you normally wear.

- Weekends 11.00 – 20.00
- Weekdays from 25 November to 21 December 15.00 – 21.00
- Weekdays from 26 December to 8 January 11.00 – 20.00
All Sessions will last 50 minutes and will start on the hour.

Ice Skating At Dun Laoghaire
The Ice rink is a huge size just under 600sq meters, you will enjoy your skating experience no matter what the weather has to offer as the ice rink will be fully covered. All the sessions last 55 minutes and you should arrive at least 20 minutes before your session starts. Kids who’s first time it is Ice Skating need not fear as the penguins will be there to help out.
