Lets Go Summer Camps

Let’s Go Summer Camps were founded by Kevin O’ Brien and Eileen Sheehy, both Physical Education graduates of Thomond  College of Education Limerick. They both have vast experience in the area of design and implementation of summer camp programmes. The camps are constantly changing and adapting to meet the needs of campers and their parents. Lets Go combine structured educational sessions with the fun and games of multi sport summer camps. The summer camps are operated in towns nationwide during the months of July and August for children aged between 5 and 13 years.

The emphasis at Lets Go Summer Camps is on taking part and having fun. A typical day includes excitement, fun and adventure full of variety. With this in mind Lets Go is the place to be this summer to make new friends, learn new skills and enjoy every moment of Summer in a safe environment under the supervision of caring and qualified teaching staff.

The Camps

The camps run on weekdays, however if there is a bank holiday the camp will still be five days – running up to and including Saturday. The day begins at 9:30 and finishes at 15:30.

Registration takes place on the first morning of the camp. At this stage children are divided into groups according to their age. If campers wish to be placed with their siblings or friends it is not a problem provided that they are roughly the same age. At this point all campers will be welcomed and introduced to staff members. An attendance roll is taken each morning.

Each class session lasts on average of forty minutes. There are two supervised breaks each day.  At the end of the day (3.30pm) campers aged 7-13 years are permitted to leave the venue at this stage.  The mini-campers, 5-6 year olds, must be collected in the hall after the older children have left.

Family Fun Tip :- Each camper needs to bring a Healthy packed lunch, snacks and plenty of drinks with them.

Activities For Mini Campers

They have devised a modified programme of stimulating play orientated activities suitable for 5-6 year old children. The staff at Let’s Go Camps are conscious that this may be the child’s first introduction to day camping and their aim is to provide an environment where each child is encouraged to participate in an exciting and diverse range of activities while at the same time providing the opportunity to develop their social, physical and creative skills.

Typical activities at Lets Go Summer Camps for the mini campers, those aged 5-6, include bouncy castle, unihoc, trampoline, soccer, speed stacking, face painting, wrecking ball, teddy bear picnic, musical games, basketball and tennis,  relays, crazy golf amongst so much more.

Activites For Older Campers

The Multi activity programme offers the most comprehensive and diverse range of activities, specifically designed for the lively and energetic campers. Within this broad age category (7-13 years) the children will be subdivided into groups comprising of other children of similar age. Whatever group your child is allocated to, they will remain together for the rest of the week moving from one exciting activity to the next.
