Dublin – Live Animal Crib at Mansion House

Live Animal Crib

*This event will not be taking place this year*

The Mansion House on Dawson Street will host a traditional nativity scene set with live animals in a specially constructed life size stable. This event has become a beloved Christmas tradition among families and is a great way to bring a little bit of the countryside to city kids.

The launch will take place on the 6 December at 10.30 featuring Choral performances, face painting and street entertainment and more.

The Live Crib consists of a traditional nativity scene set among live animals in a specially constructed, life size stable. The animals are brought to the crib every morning and are returned to a farm on the south of the city in the evening.

Although admission is free, the public may contribute if they so wish.

Christmas Winter Wonderland

This year Lord Mayor Brendan Carr has introduced a Winter Wonderland for children to walk through on their way to the IFA Live Animal Crib.  They can interact with Santa’s sleigh, his reindeer, giant presents and baubles and enjoy a little Christmas magic in Dawson Street.
