Phoenix Park Childrens Events and activities at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre are fun for all the Family

A lively and entertaining exhibition on the history and the wildlife of the Phoenix Park is on display in the Visitor Centre.

Adjoining the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre is the fully restored Ashtown Castle, a medieval tower house that probably dates from the 17th century

There is also a restaurant and playground in the grounds of the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre 

Phoenix Park Visitor Centre Childrens Workshops

The themed Childrens Workshops events will take place every Sunday morning at 10.00 – 12.30  and are great fun for kids.

These free children’s workshops on nature awareness, history and heritage and arts and crafts take place, suitable for ages 5-12 years.

Materials are provided and adult supervision is required.

Arrive early to avoid disappointment as there is a maximum number of 20 per session.

Phoenix Park Visitor Centre Opening Times

In April – December / Open 7 days a week  from 10.00am – 6.00pm. Last admission at 5.15 pm.

In January, February & March the Visitor Centre is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays and open Wednesdays – Sundays inclusive from 9.30 am – 5.30 pm. Last admission at 4.45 pm.

Average Length of Visit: 1 hour.

Admission Charges: Free.

Áras an Uachtaráin is open Saturdays only.

Free admission tickets are issued at The Phoenix Park Visitor Centre on the day.

Phoenix Park Shuttle Bus which starts and finishes at Parkgate Street and stops at Dublin Zoo, Farmleigh, St. Mary’s Hospital, Papal Cross, and runs every 30 minutes approx.
