Slieve Aughty Centre – The Great Mushroom Forage
Learn all about wild mushrooms in the beautiful woods of Kylebrack.
During this one day workshop, qualified experts will show you where mushrooms grow, why they grow there and how to distinguish the edible from the inedible.
The day will begin at 11 am with refreshments and an introductory talk on fungi in followed by a forage in the surrounding woods.
After the wild mushroom hunt we will come back to The Three Towers for an organic lunch followed by identification of specimens and a cook-up of fungi we have found.
