The Winter Art Studio for Families at The Ark
The Winter Art Studio at The Ark in Dublin is a fun and creative experience that enables the whole family to engage with and create visual art together.
Start your creative adventure in the Ark professional studio where artist will introduce you to a number of winter themed contemporary Irish artworks and encourage you to share your thoughts on the work.
You will then move into the studio which is packed full of ‘things’ (artwork, books, objects, illustrations and photographs) for you to explore to help you to consider the theme of winter and the types of feelings, imagery and colours associated with it before you start to create!
There are work stations set up with an exciting selection of tools and materials for you to use. You can unleash your imagination and experiment with different paints and drawing materials, clay, fabrics and other mixed media. As you start to create your own artworks together, the artist will demonstrate some of their techniques and provide inspiration in an inventive and relaxed environment.
