Chester Beatty Library Events
We offer a wide variety of programmes designed to foster better understanding of our European, Middle Eastern, Asian and East Asian collections.
Included are activities for all age groups such as: – family activity packs – adult and teen drawing packs – art workshops for children – art workshops for adults – film screenings – free lunchtime talks
Please note all Chester Beatty Library events, public tours, demonstrations, talks and workshops organised through the Library are free of charge unless stated otherwise. For further details, please contact the Chester Beatty Library.
Chester Beatty Library Family Day
The Library has engaged with a number of communities and celebrated cultural festivals including the Chinese New Year, Diwali, Christmas and Easter.
Chester Beatty Activity Backpack
For families – the Library will offer family activity backpacks for exploring the collections with hands-on activities for children aged 5 + and 8 +, including activity sheets, puzzles, crosswords and a colouring book. Colouring activities for under 3’s also available.
They recommend adults guide children when using the packs.
The library backpacks are available the and are free of charge
Classification :- Families / Age 5 – 11 years old
Date / Time :- First weekend of each month on Saturdays and Sundays from 13.00 – 16.00
Admission :- Free of charge – Chester Beatty Library are very grateful to the State Street Foundation for their generous support
Booking :- No but advisable if planning to atttend the activity backpacks.
Silk Worm Club Events For Children
If you are curious about the marvels of the Chester Beatty Library collection and you like stories, art, craft, music and dance, this is the club to join. This club is for children ages 6 – 11 years
Chester Beatty’s Creative Lab for Teens
These workshops are free and are suitable for teens aged 12-17 years
