The Stena Line Dublin Horse Show 2018

The Stena Line Dublin Horse Show will take place from the 8 – 12 August 2018 over the entire RDS complex in the heart of Dublin.  One of the top international equestrian events in the world, the Show is a wonderful day out for horse enthusiasts and families a like offering something for everyone.

Summer memories are created by unique experiences. Each August, the utterly unique Dublin Horse Show, offers you the chance to share summer memories with your dearest and closest. Forged anew each year, the Show’s distinctive offering makes it one of the best equestrian Shows in the world, much loved by international show jumper and visitor alike. Superb international show jumping, important national competitions, rare shopping opportunities, wining and dining, family fun and entertainment, in all, a great sporting and social occasion.

This year marks the 145th edition of the Show – 133 competitions over five days in early August, including the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cuptm of Ireland at the Stena Line Dublin Horse Show. The renowned Aga Khan Trophy is regarded by some as the most prestigious annual show jumping competition in the world and it attracts some of the best international horse and rider combinations to compete for it. The calibre of competitor is just as strong for the big money event of the week: Sunday’s Longines Grand Prix of Dublin, while the ever popular Land Rover Puissance on Saturday never fails to draw gasps from a packed RDS Main Arena.

Even in a city known the world over for its sociability, the Dublin Horse Show is a stand out social occasion of the summer. A great choice of bars, restaurants and eateries are scattered throughout the ground, and the proximity to Dublin City centre, makes the visitor experience a really tasty prospect.

For others, taking part is all important, and for them, one competition stands out above all others: the Dundrum Town Centre Ladies Day. The RDS bandlawn is transformed each Thursday of the Show when elegantly dressed ladies (and some men) dazzle from the stage with hats, bags, shoes, accessories and of course dresses, in this most egalitarian Ladies Day competition.

And don’t worry, it’s not just adults that will enjoy themselves, the children will be catered for in a designated area that has pony rides, musical entertainment and face-painting.

Since 1864 the Show has been creating summer memories; 2018 will be no exception. Make some of your own between Wednesday August 8 and Sunday August 12 at the unique Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cuptm of Ireland at the Stena Line Dublin Horse Show
