Recharge Festival one of the longest running Free family events is back.

Chase away the winter blues and Recharge for 2009

Recharge Festival in the DLR Events programme is back  and once again it will be a riot of entertainment and activities for all the family.

The Recharge Festival is designed to lift community spirits and make the most depressing day of the year a joy to behold! 
 
This unique one-day Free event is fun for the kids and families to enjoy , is filled with colourful street entertainment, giant inflatable games, bouncy castles, a children’s make and do corner, face painters and a DJ will provide the background music.  
 
Children of all ages can take part.
 
 
Also in the park on the same day will be CoCo Market.
 

So get on down and join in the family fun!

The DLR Events programme has been a big success over the last few years with free family events every month. 

In February 2009 we can look forward to Gravitation with boards bikes blades and beats followed by Active8 in March to get fit and healthy for summer.  The Mad Hatters Tea Party and Easter Egg hunt is bound to cause a stir in the spring and the hugely popular Teddy Bears Picnic is back next summer.  You can also look forward to Outdoor Movies, Centre Stage Outdoor Theatre as well as some new events next summer.  The Festival of World Food and the Samhain Halloween Parade are planned for the autumn and in November you can look forward to the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
