Santa’s Arctic Kingdom, Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre 2012

A spectacular Santa experience opens in Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre on the 1st of December. The magnificent 6000 Sq foot Santa’s Arctic Kingdom will take pride of place on the Centre’s top floor.
 
Children are set to travel from across Ireland for this unforgettable adventure, inviting them to follow in the footsteps of Ernest Shackleton when they embark on a special adventure from the South Pole to the North Pole.The excitement will build when they stumble across Mr. Elf who is lost … he needs their help to find his way back to the North Pole in time to help Santa get all the toys ready for Christmas. 
 
The thrilling journey will bring them past ice bergs, polar bears and the Ice Queen’s Palace before they eventually arrive in Santa’s Workshop where all the toys are made. 
 
And then it’s time to visit Santa Claus himself in his Polar residence to receive a very special gift and a photograph to remember the occasion.
 
Santa will take up residence in his Arctic Kingdom from 1pm on December 1st, before departing for a special escorted cavalcade to the Harbour Plaza to arrive for the official launch of the Christmas festival at 5.15pm.
 
Nearby, at St. Michael’s Church the live crib will open with an ecumenical blessing at 5pm
.
Santa’s Arctic Kingdom will be open every Thurs- Sun from Dec 1st and every day from Monday 17th of December until the 23rd December. Santa costs €10 including gift and photo.
