Spreacha International Arts Festival For Children

Spreacha at Draiocht Family Theatre in Blanchardstown is an annual theatre festival run over 8 days for  children ages between 0 – 12 years. Spreacha Festival takes place from 13 – 20 April and companies of  international acts from Germany, Australia, Denmark, Spain and Ireland will be all there in Draiocht.

All of the shows at the Spreacha Arts Festival for Children are perfect for school groups and families with events programmed in and out of school time so school groups and families can enjoy a range of magical performances together, from puppetry to storytelling and music to circus. With a top ticket price of just €5, you’d be mad to miss out on the ‘sparkling’ Spréacha Festival 2011!

The festival’s magic extends to schools with dance and puppet workshops galore. Puppets Play will give two local school groups the chance to make puppets of their own, to coincide with the arrival of award winning puppet shows. Spréacha ends with 2 Free Family Days, where artists will be on hand to assist children create their own simple hand puppets to impress family and friends.

The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk

They are new to 4th Class but that’s the only thing they have in common. Martin and Simon. Newcomers. One keen to fit in; the other doesn’t care. But they become best friends and swear an oath to stick together. They will never enter the dark side and join forces with the school bullies. But Martin does something bad. Something that destroys their friendship and leaves Simon stuck for the rest of his school days with the nickname Pondlife McGurk.

Buy 10 tickets and get your 10th ticket free (so only pay for 9 tickets). This offer applies to tickets purchased at the full price or concession price only and is not available in conjunction with any other offer.

Group/School bookings of 10 or more can be held on reservation for up to 7 days.
Within this time full payment or a 25% deposit must be received otherwise the tickets will be released and re-sold.
The number of tickets on reservation can be changed up to 7 days proir to the performance, subject to availability.
Any balance due must be settled 7 days prior to the performance.
