SARI Soccerfest Meets Concern KiteFest
Dublin’s Phoenix Park will host the 13th SARI Intercultural Soccerfest joining hands with Concern Worldwide to support Ireland’s first International Kite Fest
Nestled in the heart of Dublin the festival will be an exciting, fun-filled weekend for all the family. Live music, face painters, clowns, teddy bear parachuting, children’s kite making and educational workshops combined with celebrity matches, brazilian soccer skills, penalty shoot outs and lots of football are on offer.
The Soccerfest led by Brian Kerr, International Manager and SARI Board Members, is an annual highlight in the SARI calendar. It brings together over 40 men and women’s teams from a wide range of nationalities now living in Ireland, making it the largest intercultural football tournament in the country.
The KiteFest will see kite flyers from around the world coming to display and fly their spectacular kites to raise awareness of child labour in the developing world at the Garda and Camogie grounds on Sat 12th and Sun 13th September.
Children can visit the free kite making workshops and the Global Post Office and decorate a postcard to send to children in India , Kenya , Rwanda and Sierra Leone or bring along their favourite teddy bear to experience Teddy Bear Parachuting!
