FizGig Summer Camps For Teens

The FizGig Summer camps in Dublin are designed to capture the imagination of kids that love gaming and computer animation. You just don’t play games you make them. And if your kids spend hours on YouTube watching animations – why not teach them to create their own? FizGig offers the hottest 2 camps in Dublin, Computer Gaming Camps and Animation Camps. The focus of the camps is to make learning fun for the kids and ideal for kids that are bored with conventional multi-activity camps or who love gaming and spend hours on the computer. These camps are for children 9 to 16 years of age and where the group is more than 20 children they will be broken into two age groups 9 – 12 years and 13 – 16 years.

These one-week camps give children the opportunity to put their creative juices to work in one of the cool environment in Dublin, the Windmill Lane Recording Studios, where they can learn new skills and have a great time. It’s not all screen-facing, kids will have regular breaks with supervised indoor activities such as golf putting, table tennis, quizzes and more.

FizGig Animation Summer Camps

Your child will be taught how to use Stop-motion animation and i-movie software to create short animations which they will be able to access at home via their mobile phone or other resource such as YouTube.

The current Animation course – Computer Animation Introduction will be based on Anime Studio Debut 8 and will involve an over-view of the twelve principles involved in programming computer animations as well as hands-on experience of using software to create animations.

Create your own game in this fun, stimulating game course for teens

Your child will be  introduced to the awesome world of game creation in a non-competitive, step-by-step process. Dream up the game objective, build custom characters, create storyboards and the sequence of the game …its all in a days course

Family Fun Tip –

  • It is important to realise that in order to create the type of commercial games/animations that children are used to playing/seeing can take many years of training and experience.
  • Fizgiggers will have access to the internet but there will be viewing restrictions in place so as to make inappropriate content hard to access.

FizGig Summer Camp Venue Dublin

Some courses are run in Windmill Lane Recording Studios which offers children a cool, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, filled with recording memorabilia, the latest technology and a sprinkling of stardust from all the famous musicians who have recorded here.
It’s an ideal world for children to explore new media, to be introduced to the type of environment game creators and animators work in and to learn about the software and technical kit used in the industry.
We can organize a short accompanied walk-through of the Studios for parents of fizgiggers, by request – though obviously some areas may be off-limits if recording studios are booked.
