Easter Fun at Leahy’s Open Farm

Easter at Leahy’s Open Farm is a great time of the year. The Easter Bunny comes to the Leahy’s Open Farm and drops off all the eggs, but its your job to find the eggs. They have an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and sometimes there are other activities for the adults so that everybody goes home with at least one egg.

Leahy’s Open Farm is open for the Easter Holidays and the Hop Along event runs from Thurs 28th March to 1st April April. Admission will include entry to the farm, Easter Egg Hunt and trailer ride through the forest.

This promises to be a fun weekend for young and old.

Over the 5 days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) the Easter Bunny drops eggs continuously throughout the forest, so no matter what time you start your hunt there will be eggs everywhere……

On arrival every child will get a questionnaire and a map of the farm. Everybody who completes the questionnaire will be entered into a draw for a FREE return trip to Leahy’s Open Farm.

There will also be Egg & Spoon races for Mammy and Daddy.

Welly Throwing competition (Weather Permitting)

This year they are holding a Welly Throwing competition. The challenge is to throw a welly as far as you can. The furthest distance will win a prize. Each welly needs to be paid for by way of donation, which all proceeds will be given to their chosen charity.

To play all participants must be over 12 years old.

They will also have welly throwing competitions for the kids under 12 years old
