Fry Model Railway Malahide

Fry Model Railway Malahide

The railway is currently closed – expected to be opened Spring 2020

The long wait for the return of the beloved Fry Model Railway to Malahide is nearing an end with confirmation that work to make the village’s iconic ‘Casino’ building its new home is to begin soon with the exhibition due to open to the public once again next year.

The Fry Model Railway is a unique collection of handmade models of Irish trains, from the beginning of rail travel to modern times.

Situated in the beautiful grounds surrounding Malahide Castle, this delightful collection is a treat for railway enthusiats, children and adults alike.

Irish and international exhibits from the earliest railway developments are run on a Grand Transport Complex which includes stations, bridges, trams, barges and even the river Liffey. The Fry Model Railway is operated by Dublin Tourism Attractions in conjunction with Fingal County Council.
